About Us

GM&F Partners was founded in 2012 by George Glover after a sustained career as the founder and CEO of Teen Challenge Canada, transforming a single local site to a national multi-site organization for faith-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation. George’s leadership produced millions of dollars in donations through novel and traditional fundraising methods—including gifts of real estate.

Our Story…

George brings a wide range of experience, innovative leadership, a significant network of partners, experience in fundraising in Canada and USA, and a heart for the challenges that leaders of small non-profits face.

What We Do

“Most small non-profits have small teams doing their best with limited resources and each member performing multiple roles. The result isn’t sustainable long-term. Our team provides expertise across multiple professions so that non-profit leaders can focus on executing their charitable vision for others.”

Three Questions for George Glover

Q1. What are the important considerations for any small or mid-size nonprofit in today’s competitive fundraising world?

There are many, but strategy is key. Most smaller nonprofits have limited capacity in their fund development offices — and for some, one person is doing it all. That’s why you need 3 very important components to get the job done:

  • Well thought out fundraising strategy.
  • A commitment on your part to continually work on execution of the plan.
  • A company that has a proven track record raising funds to help you reach the goal line.

The result? You can win with Major donors, Mass and Monthly donors — even in times of economic downturn.

Q2. What are the trends you are seeing in fundraising, post-pandemic right now?

With the economy uncertain, mid level donors are giving less than in previous years. That’s why major donor cultivation and monthly recurring donors will continue to be a key part of any fundraising plan — along with special events as well. Another trend we are seeing is that nonprofit workers are burning out faster than before. That’s why a well thought out strategy and tactics are so very important to move the needle. A good annual growth target should be (at minimum) 20% year over year revenue growth. Put a plan in place to manage your donors well as ‘partners’. They will do more for you even in times of economic uncertainty.

Q3. What benefit is there in outsourcing marketing and fundraising?

We often get asked this question. The benefit of retaining a company like GM&F is that you have access to a very skilled and robust team of experts — without having to hire a big staff team. Functionally, when you hire us, you hire a fundraising department that helps build you a tailor-made plan for your nonprofit. We’re not a ‘coaching organization’ …we DRIVE the process, figure out the low-hanging fruit and get the job done. Getting strong results is what matters and should matter to you as well. Outsourcing is the trend and there is proven ROI to make the case.

Two years ago, we retained GM&F Partners to assist our organization with fundraising and sustainability. Our finances have always been a major concern since we do not receive any government funding. GM&F has helped to grow our donor base and prepare for major expansion to help more women in need. I am pleased to recommend their services to any nonprofit who is seeking financial growth and greater impact.
